Abstract
In order to have effective satellite monitoring of surface deformations of a soil, it is necessary to adapt results of geotechnical characterization of ground (e.g: weight, resistance, deformability) with satellite ground movements. Therefore, we have hypothesized the Geogis project to develop a computer platform capable of: rebuild the geometry of the slope given either the satellite or drone survey: conduct the slope stability analysis until stimulating it's collapse, estimating the last surface displacements with the estimated values for an accurate danger assessment: make the results available to the civil protection so as to support the management of the landslide risk; simultaneously develop a data base in a web environment for data archiving; and from here use of artificial intelligence to guess dangerous situations. Currently,we are testing the platform for the case study of Madonna Del Castello complex landslide in Castrovillari, in the province of Cosenza, Italy.
