Uncovering Invisible Lives: Writing the Histories of Hungarian Women Artists

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter in a book

Abstract

This chapter is a visual memoir and an internal monologue retracing the steps of my journey: how and why I moved from Hungary to the UK and why I pursued research, on the lives and works of Hungarian female artists. By revisiting some of my paintings produced at different stages of my life, this chapter will unfold what persuaded me to take the road to academia and how my experience of becoming an ‘Eastern European’ immigrant in the UK influenced my professional career.
