    Abstract

    Executive Summary:
    Whilst there are minimum requirements that are set out in the University personal tutoring policy, the way personal tutoring is organised at the University of Bristol is decided at school level. As a result, there are a number of different models of personal tutoring across the University. Staff and student satisfaction with personal tutoring also varies across the University. This study set out to examine the differ models of personal tutoring models for undergraduate students, considering staff and student views on the strengths and weaknesses of each model. The purpose of this report is to support decisions about personal tutoring models at the University. This summary presents a brief outline of three models of personal tutoring, and its strengths and weaknesses. It then highlights several cross-cutting themes that emerged from the case studies, which are not related to a particular model of personal tutoring.
