Abstract

The INT Galactic Plane Survey (IGAPS) was formed from merging the IPHAS (Drew et al., 2005MNRAS.362..753D) and UVEX (Groot et al., 2009MNRAS.399..323G, Cat. J/MNRAS/399/323) surveys of the northern Galactic plane, based on data from the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) obtained between 2003 and 2018. It is a catalogue of 174 columns and almost 300 million rows, spanning the r magnitude range from 12-13th mag down to 21st mag (10σ). The astrometry in all five photometric bands has been placed in the Gaia DR2 reference frame. Broadband g, r, and i have been uniformly calibrated using PanSTARRS data resting on that project's 'Ubercal' (Magnier et al. 2013ApJS..205...20M). We estimate the reproducibility of the photometry in these bands (and in Hα) to be in the region of 0.02mag at magnitudes brighter than 19th mag. (1 data file).
