Abstract

Atopic dermatitis (AD), also known as eczema or atopic eczema, is a complex, multifactorial often debilitating disease.1 The prevalence of AD has risen rapidly, suggesting that environmental factors might be responsible for such changes.2 s.3 It is crucial to better understand the aetiology of AD to discover ways to reduce the personal and public health burden.
