Abstract
A 74-year-old man with a history of bilateral urolithiasis was admitted to the hospital with a severe acute kidney injury and hyperkalaemia secondary to urosepsis. He received intravenous antibiotics and medical management for hyperkalaemia, including intravenous insulin and oral sodium zirconium cyclosilicate (SZC) prior to initiation of haemodialysis.
