AbstractThe work herein described aimed to create tools to investigate self-assembly of compartments and how these compartments might be used in concert to produce synergistic effects in a prebiotic setting, to further our understanding of the transition from non-living to living matter. This could be described as research into the Origins of Life, or could also be framed in understanding how building the complexity of soft matter systems and taking a population, or systems, -view can yield exciting emergent group behaviours.
