Abstract
A range of fluorophosphite, diphosphite and pyridylphosphine ligands have been prepared and their application in alkene hydroformylation or alkyne methoxycarbonylation catalysis explored. In addition, 9-hospha[3.3.1]bicyclononane (Phobane, PhobPH) derived ligands have beenapplied in Rh-catalysed asymmetric hydrogenation. The coordination chemistry of all the ligands has been investigated to probe their catalytic performance.
